Dear Goodison Veterinary Families,

Thank you so much for the patience and understanding you have displayed as we continue to navigate the coronavirus pandemic. Our team appreciates all of you! We will continue to provide the best care for your beloved family members during trying times.

With the loosening of restrictions on veterinarians in our state, we are striving to ramp our services back up to near pre-pandemic levels. Our team will return to performing elective surgeries, on a limited basis for now, and our office hours will be extended (see below). You will be able to accompany your pets into our office again, on a limited basis (1 person per pet preferred), and with certain restrictions. We respectfully request that a face mask be worn in our practice. If for any reason you are unable to fulfill this request; please, inform our staff at the time of your appointment. Our team will make arrangements for continued curbside care for your pet and phone consult with your doctor. We continue to request that you call us from our parking lot upon arrival for your scheduled appointment. At that time, a team member will direct you when to enter the facility and the exam room number for your visit. One of our veterinary assistants will obtain your pet’s medical history and accompany your pet to our treatment area for his/her exam. Your doctor will discuss your health concerns and care recommendations with you in your exam room (maintaining social distancing parameters). Upon completion of your visit, our team will coordinate your discharge from the office in a safe and orderly manner to limit contact with other clients and our team.

The Goodison Vet Team has worked extremely hard through the pandemic! We have been very fortunate to maintain good health with the protocols established in our practice. It is our goal to continue to provide excellent care for your pets and maintain safety for you and us; as we are all in this together.

Thank you, again for your continued support! We will continue to provide the best care possible for your wonderful family members.

Dear Goodison Veterinary Families,

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding as we continue to provide the best veterinary care possible during these unprecedented times!

Our team has stayed safe and well through the crisis, and we continue to hope for the same for yourselves and your families. We have followed the Governor’s Executive Orders and limited our veterinary services to essential care over the past 10 weeks. It is our goal to return to “normal” veterinary services in early June. We will return to near normal clinic hours (see listed below) and restart our surgical services in a limited capacity for the next month.

The decision from our Goodison team to continue utilizing as many health precautions as possible will be imperative for all of our safety. We hope to reduce the risks of the discussed “second wave” of viral transmission. As a result, we are asking our Goodison families to please continue to follow the social distancing policies we have all, unfortunately, become familiar with. Please, continue to call our office when you have arrived for your pet’s appointment. You will then be given guidance as to when to enter the building and your exam room assignment. Please, limit your visit to one person in the building as much as possible. Our team will discuss your pet’s visit, and all medical procedures will be performed by our outstanding team in our treatment area. Upon completion of your visit, we will coordinate your exit from the practice with minimal contact with other pet owners.

We recognize and respect everyone’s personal freedoms, but we kindly ask you to wear a mask or face covering when in our facility or having contact with our team. If you are uncomfortable with this policy; please, let us know as you call from the parking lot. We will be happy to retrieve your companion from your vehicle and utilize our current telephone contact system. We, unfortunately, do not have the ability to provide masks for you at this time. Our team is doing its best to maintain your pet’s health and we hope you will respect our well-being, also!

We will continue to provide curbside service for picking up prescription foods and medications, and for technician appointments. Again, please call us from your vehicle when you arrive to arrange payment for your products, and we will get them out to you as quickly as we can. We hope you will be patient with us during these pickups as we are caring for patients during these times. This may result in occasional delays with the curbside delivery. We are doing the very best we can and greatly appreciate your patience and kindness.

Our Goodison families have been very kind and understanding throughout this crisis. We hope we all stay well and provide positive energy for loved ones!

Dear Goodison Veterinary Families,

Hoping to send out a brief note to our dedicated and caring families. Our team is continuing to provide the highest level of care through the novel coronavirus pandemic for your furry, four-legged companions. Our current curbside drop off and pick up service for your pets, medications, and dietary needs has been working very well to maximize social distancing. Utilizing telephone communication with our doctor staff has proven to be an effective and successful method to gather medical history and treatment care options for our patients when presented at the clinic. Our Goodison families have been very understanding, and we have been very thankful for you all! Our team hopes you will continue to share your patience with us as we navigate this difficult time. With positive energy and care for one another, we will all get through this together!

Thank you for your continued care and support!

Dear Goodison Veterinary Families,

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these uncertain times. As veterinarians, we took a solemn oath to use our scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare. We take this oath very seriously and intend to continue to provide the highest quality care possible during the pandemic. Our team feels our work is vital to alleviate pain and suffering for our patients, prevent spread of infectious disease to humans, and promote social well-being of the patients and families we are fortunate enough to care for.

Our Goodison team has been utilizing our curbside care and telemedicine protocol very successfully over the past 2 weeks. It is our goal to continue to provide outstanding care via this service.

Our management team had been prepared for the pandemic with personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect our team sufficiently; thereby, not taking away extremely vital PPE resources from our brave human medical colleagues battling the coronavirus. We continue to give those magnificent people our positive thoughts!

Please, contact us as needed throughout this difficult time. We are certain the safety measures being taken, although very trying, will prove beneficial in the long run!

Dear Goodison Veterinary Families,

As we navigate through the uncertain and rapidly evolving events involving COVID-19, our top priority is the health and well-being of our canine and feline companions, and their caregivers. It is our objective to continue to provide the highest quality of health care for our Goodison families’ pets, without compromising the health of their families and our medical team.

As a result of the recent, unprecedented occurrences, the Goodison Veterinary team has made the very difficult decision to discontinue all elective surgical procedures, immunization appointments, and non-emergency health visits to our practice for the foreseeable future. The decision was based solely on attempting to limit the spread of the potentially life-threatening coronavirus.

Our Goodison team will attempt to be available for emergency medical cases during amended office hours throughout the self-imposed quarantine. Our emergency hours will be 9:30 am until 2 pm daily. We will utilize a telecommunication triage system to determine the urgency of your pet’s health needs. With this system, we will determine if your pet’s health care concern warrants a face-to-face visit or can be managed via phone recommendations. Please, call our office as per usual. We will then assist you on protocol and precautions for the care for your pet and yourself.

We will attempt to provide curbside pickup of medications and prescription diets from 12 noon-4 pm only daily. Our facility will be closed at 4 pm to provide adequate time to clean and sterilize for continued care. Our team will continually monitor and alter these scheduling changes pending further orders from our government officials.

We have found our Goodison families to be very caring and understanding of their canine and feline companions’ needs over the past 25 years. We will continue to assist and help direct their care through this crisis. Thank you for your understanding and patience!
